Tuesday
This was our last day and we had to check out and leave our luggage in the hotel. We headed to Andews for our last breakfast in the city.
We decided to take the Staten Island Ferry for something to do to fill in time. So we headed down town and had lunch in a wee deli before getting on the ferry. It was pretty busy as it was a lovely day, and lots of pics were taken. We were accompanied by NYPD boats all the way - security had certainly been stepped up at the tourist sights.
Getting back to the hotel, we collected our luggage and then headed to JFK to check in and then get our flight home. We found a great pub at the terminal where we had a few drinks before boarding, then found out we could have been in the lounge! Oh well, never mind, we'll know next time!
A lovely short trip, enjoyed the gig very much and our wee side-trip to DC. Too short but fun.
